Changes to delivery

To ensure the wellbeing of our staff, we are temporarily not accepting new orders for delivery.

Having received an unprecedented volume of orders, we need to give our team the time to safely pick and pack the orders already taken.

If you have already placed an order, we’ll have it with you as soon as possible.

You can still buy wine In Bond or En Primeur, and trade on BBX, our fine wine marketplace.

We hope to start accepting new orders again as soon as we can safely do so. Thank you for your understanding.

 

What can I order?
You can buy wine In Bond or En Primeur, and trade on BBX, our fine wine marketplace; but cannot order for delivery (this includes withdrawing stock from your Private Reserve). We apologise for the inconvenience, our teams are working as hard as possible to catch up with demand. We’ll be back up and running as soon as possible, but – as you’ll understand – the safety of our team has to be the priority.

Why aren’t you currently taking orders for delivery?
We have received a large volume of orders in recent days. To allow our team to safely fulfil existing orders, we are temporarily not taking new orders for delivery. We will be back up and running as soon as we’ve fulfilled current orders.

Is this a one-off? Or are you likely to close again in the future?
This is a rapidly changing situation. Our Executive Chairman, Lizzy Rudd, meets with team leaders from across the business on a daily basis to ensure we are prioritising the wellbeing and safety of our staff, and taking into consideration the most recent government advice. While we hope to stay open, this means that we may take the view to temporarily close the warehouses at another point in the future, to ensure that the team can work in the safest possible conditions.

How can I place an order?
We are currently not accepting new orders for delivery, but you can still order wine In Bond or En Primeur, and trade on BBX, our fine wine marketplace. If you’re after a delivery, keep checking back – we’ll be up and running as normal as soon as possible.

I’ve placed an order, is it still on its way?
Yes. Don’t panic – any orders that have been placed are on their way, although may take a little longer than normal given how busy we are. Please bear with us while we work to get it to you as soon as possible.

Will my order be delivered “contact-free”?
Yes. For your wellbeing, and for the safety of our delivery drivers, we have made some changes to how we deliver. Our drivers will no longer be able to bring your order into your home, and we won’t be asking you to sign for deliveries. You’ll receive photographs as proof of delivery instead. Thank you for your understanding.

Are your shops open?
No. To protect the safety of both customers and staff, our shops in London and Basingstoke are closed until further notice.
