What your collection could look like
It's one thing knowing you want to start a fine wine and spirits collection. However, imagining what your cellar could look like after several years of fine wine collecting can be hard.
Below, you can see the cellars of two of our customers. These demonstrate how a wine and spirits collection can develop after two and five years respectively.
A collection after two years
This is the collection of a Cellar Plan member spending £250 per month.
This customer started their wine collection in the traditional heartlands of Burgundy, Champagne and Bordeaux. As they have attended tastings and bought cases to try at home they have begun to broaden their fine wine cellar.
“I joined Cellar Plan completely clueless about how to choose a great wine. But, I thought this would be a fun way to learn and build something I can enjoy and share with friends and family. As I have got more confident in what I like I am beginning to branch out from the more famous regions. I can’t wait to find out what the next year will bring.”
A collection after five years
This is the cellar of an Account Managed customer. They spend around £15,000 per year and have 160 cases of wine and a small collection of special whisky.
This customer has built a sizeable, diverse fine wine and spirits collection. They have done this by tasting widely, and working with their Account Manager to learn what they like. They have also taken advantage of our en primeur offers, BBX, and explored our range of premium spirits.
“It's important to believe in your own choices. It’s easy to get carried away with trends, and to be influenced by what other people say is good. I do a lot of research because, for me, my cellar is a reflection of my personality and character.”
