The vineyard at Ch. Pey la Tour covers 146 hectares. Each year new plots are being restructured to produce the best possible healthy, ripe grapes. More than 80% of the vineyard is now benefitting from the restructuring undertaken when Dourthe acquired the estate in 1990, with the first vines now having reached perfect maturity. The work carried out throughout the year in the vineyard limits the load and ensures optimal protection against the threat from disease.
In this late-ripening region the grapes benefit from the optimal weather conditions from the end of August to the second week in October.
