Chase Distillery, founded in 2008 in Herefordshire, produces an array of spirits including potato vodka, apple gin, and a range of liqueurs.
The distillery was founded by William Chase, potato farmer and the man behind Tyrrells Chips, after visiting America on a business trip. The idea was originally formed from having an abundance of potatoes too small to make into potato chips. A state-of-the-art copper distillery was installed at the farm two years later. This is the first new distillery in England in over 250 years.
Chase Potato Vodka was voted best in category in the 2010 San Francisco Spirits competition.
