Casa Herradura is a Tequila producer located in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. Founded in 1870, the house produces three distinct expressions of Tequila: Anejo, Reposado and PlataThe Anejo is aged for 25 months; the Reposado for 11 months; and the Plata for 45 days. The house style here is for spicy and herbaceous Tequilas, produced exclusively from Blue Weber Agave grown in the area.
The estate’s grounds are home to some 16 species of fruit trees; their natural airborne yeast strains are said to aid the natural fermentation here. Herradura is part of the Brown-Forman portfolio of distilleries and spirits brands, which also includes Jack Daniel’s, Benriach and Diplomático.
