Chateau Lafont Menaut

Château Lafont Menaut is situated in the heart of the Pessac-Leognan wine appellation, just south of Bordeaux. Founded in the 13th century, Château Lafont Menaut is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux. It was acquired by Marc Perrin in 1956, and through his management became a Cru Classé in 1959.

In 1990, Philibert Perrin, owner of Château Carbonnieux and Marc’s grandson, started to replant the fourteen hectare vineyard at Lafont Menaut. The majority is now made up of red grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and the remaining three hectares is of white: Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
