Chopin Distillery is a vodka producer based near Krzesk, Poland. Founder Tadeusz Dorda launched the Chopin Vodka brand in 1993, though the distillery itself dates back to the 19th century. This remains a family owned operation, and the Dorda family use one of Poland’s oldest surviving stills. The raw materials used are sourced locally, within 20 miles of the distillery.
Waldemar Durakiewicz is the master distiller here. The range he oversees includes vodkas produced from potatoes, rye and wheat. Maturation takes place in old Polish oak barrels, and bottling is done by hand.
