Chateau Corbin

Chateau Corbin

Ch. Corbin is one of the oldest wine estates in the appellation of St. Emilion - Since 1999, Chateau Corbin has been managed by Anabelle Cruse-Bardinet, whose cousin, Emmanuel Cruse is in charge of Chateau d’Issan in  Margaux.

This 12.7ha property produces on average 6,500 wine cases per year. Located in the north of the St.Emilion appellation, it shares a similar climate to that enjoyed by both St.Emilion and Pomerol: more continental than the maritime Médoc with generally more spring rainfall, though less in summer and winter.

Its vineyards (Merlot 70%; Cabernet Franc 24%; Malbec 6%) lie on a large-grain sand topsoil (ancient sand) and impermeable sandstone/limestone subsoil. Vinification benefits from up to 15 months' maturation in oak barrels, 33% of which are new. It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé.
