Having begun back in 1999, Benoit Ente has certainly proved his worth as one of Puligny- Montrachet’s most exciting wine producers.
In eventual succession to his grandfather Camille David, Benoît Ente, brother of Arnaud in Meursault, has a small domaine including premiers crus Folatières, Referts and Truffière as well as village Puligny and Chassagne.
The vineyards were all planted by his grandfather in the 1950s, which has enabled Benoit to benefit from grapes from old vines. Heavy investment in the cellars has also helped enormously. These are powerful wines which all superbly express the character of each vineyard.
