Boërl & Kroff Champagne is a product of an unwavering pursuit of excellence. The founders, Stéphane Sésé and Virginie Boërl envisioned a perfect Champagne, both sublime in taste and appearance, embodying the epitome of French artisanship. Their goal was to craft the finest Champagne in the world, akin to a superlative white wine, and to age it extensively.
This quest led them to Aube, in the heart of the Côte des Bar, where they met Michel Drappier, the winegrower at the helm of the eponymous Champagne house. Known as the "magician of Urville" since 1994, he has brought Boërl & Kroff to life. The Champagne produced is uncompromising, designed to achieve perfection and to stand the test of time.
The Champagne is mainly composed of Pinot Noir (90%), with Chardonnay (7%) and Pinot Meunier (3%). The fruit undergoes a rigorous selection, ensuring only the finest is used. The winemaking process employs ancient traditional techniques like gravity and slow fermentation with minimal use of sulfites to reveal and enhance the purity of the fruit's expression. The result is a Champagne of rare quality.
