Binet et Fils, responsible for producing some highly regarded Champagnes under their own label, have been producing Champagne for Berrys since 1887. This is a small house situated in Rilly-la-Montagne in the north-west part of the Montagne de Reims region.
Binet and Berry Bros have a joint agreement guaranteeing that the non-vintage UKC has a minimum of 30 months lying `sur lattes` on its lees, rather than the statutory 15 months. After disgorgement, it has a 2 month settling period in Rilly-la-Montagne, followed by a further 4 months at our Basingstoke warehouse prior to sale.
Binet's UKC is a blend of 45% Pinot Noir and 35% Pinot Meunier, both of which are grown in the Montagne de Reims. The remaining 20% comes from Chardonnay from the Côtes de Blancs, near Epernay.
