Chateau de Chamirey (rouge)

Chateau de Chamirey (rouge)

Château de Chamirey is owned by the Antonin Rodet négociant house and is located just outside Mercurey. This area produces the most full-bodied red wines of the Côte Chalonnaise and is a good searching ground for great value Red Burgundies that have complexity and depth.

The red wines of Château de Chamirey are medium bodied and exhibit ripe, red and black fruits encased in ripe, silky tannins.

The whites have a freshness, elegance and purity of fruit to them which make them very attractive in youth, although they will continue to improve for up to 5 years in bottle.

The property has recently caught the attention of Robert Parker.
