Description
This dram emerges from the glass in a gale of rich, smoky dried fruits, apricots, beach bonfire, cinnamon sticks and strawberry chews. A little time to breathe brings some new leather and a touch of bacon fat. The palate has wonderful depth and bags of texture, flavours of ginger nut, liquorice, freshly varnished oak and cherry bubble-gum. Waves of dark-chocolate-and-hazelnut spread and dry pepperiness appear. A good long finish shows salted liquorice and cocktail cherries dosed with cloves. A complex and commanding collaboration from the Nordics, this is a sure sign of things to come for the whisky world.
