Mars, Asagi Madara, 8-Year-Old, 2020 Limited Release, Blended Whisky, Japan (48%)

With age-statement whisky from Japan becoming harder to find, this limited-release Mars Asagi Madara 2020 Edition is a great find. A splendid, blended malt, this is distilled and matured at the Mars Shinsu distillery in the village of Miyada and bottled at 48%. 

At first, this dram has honey & melon tropical fruits jumping out and delightfully moving through a toasty oak and toffee middle before finishing with a hint of smoke, mint and ginger. One to savour.
