Description

Burgundy need not have stratospheric prices to offer tremendous drinking pleasure and cellaring potential. While the region’s wines are generally in short supply (especially compared to their counterparts in Bordeaux), the lesser-known communes can offer excellent value and the potential for earlier drinking in comparison to similarly characterful terroir-driven interpretations of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Starting in the north and working our way south through the communes, we will taste both whites and reds with a view to spotting some lesser-known village appellations suited to both table and cellar. Hosted by Catherine Owen, Fine Wine Specialist

Dress code: smart casual

NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stock at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
