Description

Learn to distinguish Vidiano from Vilana, Assyrtiko from Aidani and Maratheftiko from Mavrotragano over an evening exploring Hellenic wines. In the company of demi-Hellene, Demetri Walters MW, this evening’s tutorial will serve to lay the foundations of your knowledge concerning Greek and Cypriot wine grapes, styles, geography and terroir. In an increasingly homogenised world of wine, we will celebrate the individuality of character, remarkable value and astonishing quality that characterises the native grape varieties of the Hellenic world. Tasting through a range of styles, we will examine why the wines of this region are gaining traction in the affections of wine enthusiasts everywhere. Hosted by Demetri Walters MW, Wine Educator and Presenter
