Description

Join Rhône fan George Lacey for an evening exploring the finest wines from the south of this great region. Beautiful and rugged, the southern Rhône is home to a stunning variety of different terroirs and styles which George will take delight in guiding you through. His wine selections will be paired with a four-course menu prepared by Head Chef Stewart Turner. Beginning with the too-often neglected whites from this region, including one from France’s most recently created AOC, you will then work your way through the South’s finest red villages, culminating in Châteauneuf-du-Pape from which we will taste not one but two showstopping wines, Sabon’s Le Secret and Rayas’ Grand Vin, Chateau de Rayas. Hosted by George Lacey, Fine Wine Specialist

Wines to be tasted:
2006 Berry Bros. & Rudd Champagne by Mailly, Grand Cru
2011 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Château de Beaucastel
2013 Cairanne Blanc, Haut Coustias, Domaine de l’Oratoire Saint Martin
2012 Gigondas, L'Argnée, Vieilles Vignes, La Famille Perrin
2009 Rasteau Fleur de Confiance, Domaine la Soumade
2012 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Le Secret des Sabon, Domaine Roger Sabon
2004 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château de Rayas
