Britain has a long history of loving Claret, but our weakness for Bordeaux’s reds ultimately comes down to the fact that they are outrageously delicious. Cabernet’s cassis notes combine with Merlot’s fleshiness, and the fresh, green edge of Cabernet Franc (not to mention Petit Verdot’s spicy seasoning) to create utterly moreish, food-friendly wines.
This mixed case contains our best-selling Good Ordinary Claret, alongside its “big brother” Extra Ordinary Claret and four of our commune-specific Bordeaux wines. With two from the Left Bank (Pessac-Léognan and Pauillac) and two from the Right (St Emilion and Pomerol), this case offers an ideal overview of the region – and unbeatable value.
