Description
And… they’re off! This dinner, which takes place a week before Cheltenham, is an opportunity to enjoy some delicious Claret with fellow followers of the turf. We will be joined by the charismatic Rolf Johnson, the former racing correspondent for the Daily Express and an advisor to Harry Herbert and Al Shaqab, the Qatar Foundation’s equestrian centre. Rather than being a serious specialist event, this will be a chance to discuss Cheltenham and share tips and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts in the spectacular and comfortable surrounds of our Sussex Cellar.
You will enjoy an apéritif followed by a four-course meal alongside five Bordeaux wines: a white, a couple of Classed Growth Clarets with your main course, another more mature Claret with cheese and Sauternes with pudding. Then, for the final furlong, you’ll be served some delicious Port.
Dress code: smart casual
NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stock at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
