Food will be prepared in-house by our fantastic team, with Head Chef Stewart Turner at the helm; while our range of wine specialists will guide you through the glass in your hand.

For this summer’s evening, our magnificent Sussex Cellar will be transformed into a Prohibition-era speakeasy, replete with barrels of bootleg liquor, as well as plenty of the real McCoy. Wine Educator and Presenter Demetri “The Gent” Walters MW will tell the fascinating story of “Legs Diamond” and Berry Bros. & Rudd during the period, and there’ll be the chance to sample our wonderful spirits, both neat and in cocktail-form prepared by Demetri’s spirit specialist molls Harriet “The Hooch” Chandler and Ellie “Bees Knees” Brooke – that means lashings of bathtub gin. (Let’s hope there isn’t a raid…) Food will also be inspired by the era, with three courses plus dessert put together by our talented Head Chef Stewart Turner. NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stock at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
