Description
Although a much smaller region, Barolo is often compared to Burgundy, both for the quality of its wines and the complexity of its terroir. As in Burgundy, wines are made from a single noble variety, and the best take years of ageing to reach maturity. Less well-known, but no less exciting, is Barolo’s neighbour to the east, Barbaresco. Here, wines made from the same Nebbiolo grape, are said to be easier to enjoy in their youth than Barolo’s famously age-worthy offerings. During this tasting we will enjoy styles from both to see whether we can detect the differences.

NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stock at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
