Description

Join us for an evening exploring these four famous communes on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Through a fascinating line-up of examples from top châteaux you will have the chance to compare and contrast the different styles, looking at vintage variation and the wines’ ability to age. You will also get a feel for the context in which they are made as we explore how these wines relate to the rest of Bordeaux and how they represent the region in today’s international wine market. Among the bottles being tasted will be a First Growth Ch. Mouton Rothschild, a mature Ch. Cos d’Estournel and a Ch. Talbot.

Wines to be tasted:
Berry Bros. & Rudd Champagne by Mailly, Grand Cru
2012 Ch. Saint Pierre, St Julien, Bordeaux
2012 Alter Ego de Palmer, Margaux, Bordeaux
2011 Ch. Ormes de Pez, St Estèphe, Bordeaux
2003 Ch. Batailley, Pauillac, Bordeaux
2001 Ch. Rauzan-Ségla, Margaux, Bordeaux
1998 Ch. Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac, Bordeaux
