Our Old World Mixed, 12-bottle case

For a comprehensive roll-call of France’s most famous styles, look no further than this mixed case of Old World bottles from our award-winning Own Selection. Leading the pack, our legendary Good Ordinary Claret – or “GOC”, as it’s known – is an utterly sublime example of a modern red Bordeaux. It’s joined by two whites: our Meursault, which has beguiling wood smoke and white peach notes on the nose; and our Sancerre, which is bursting with fresh, cool, green fruit. From further east, we have our Grand Cru Champagne, which has all the hallmarks one would expect from such a label – brioche and flowers on the nose, and an elegant palate of lemongrass, gingerbread and honeysuckle. It’s complemented by another sparkling wine, our Crémant de Limoux, a blend of 70 percent Chardonnay and 15 each of Chenin Blanc and Mauzac, it’s a fizzing, flavourful treat. The reds are represented by our delicious Côtes du Rhône, a rich, spicy indulgent red made for us by the legendary Perrin family; and a Nuits-St Georges, which marries rich black fruit and silky tannins with supreme elegance.
