Our Mixed Burgundy, 12-bottle Case

This 12-bottle case of Burgundian wines from our award-winning Own Selection range showcases some of the region’s most famous names. There’s our classic White Burgundy – a superlative, restrained example of a Mâcconais Chardonnay – which is currently enjoying an incredible vintage. It’s joined by fellow southern whites in the form of our Pouilly-Fuissé, made by legendary winemaker Olivier Merlin, which has perfectly weighted stone-fruit flavours and a sumptuous saline minerality; and our Meursault, full of beguilingly wood smoke and white peach notes on the nose and all the opulence you’d expect from the famous commune. Representing the reds, our Own Selection Gevrey-Chambertin comes from low-yielding old vines and is bursting with ripe black fruit undercut by a subtle spice. And last, but not least, our Nuits-St Georges is a wonderful example of what the Pinot Noir grape can do – it marries rich black fruit and silky tannins with an underlying elegance.
