Description
This very special evening is a chance to meet wine legend and the 2017 Decanter Man of the Year, Steven Spurrier.
Spurrier has had a wide and distinguished career in the wine trade – starting off in St James’s (a stone’s throw from No.3), before moving to France in 1971 and setting up L’Academie du Vin, France’s first private wine school. His influence in promoting Californian wine, garnered after the Judgement of Paris in 1976, still continues to this day.
Author of many wine books and now a member of the Decanter editorial team, Spurrier has also launched his own English sparkling wine, Bride Valley in Dorset. Now all chronicled in his new book Wine: A Way of Life, Steven will bring the story to life over a dinner back where it all began, in this beautiful part of London that Berry Bros. & Rudd calls home.
