Description

This three-day course is a fun and informative way in which to complete the WSET Level 2 qualification. Starting at 9am, each session will include a delicious buffet lunch with further refreshments served at 5pm, and the course will conclude with a two-hour revision session ending at 7pm.
 
The WSET Level 2 Award is devised by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and is the internationally recognised course that is followed by those entering the wine and hospitality trades. It can be comfortably achieved by those with little or no previous wine knowledge. A selection of wines will be tasted at each session, offering a broad introduction.
 
The course also teaches tasting techniques from which to build tasting experience. We cover the syllabus over three weeks and the examination is sat in the final fourth session by way of a 50-question multiple choice paper to be completed within one hour. The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, WSET accredited tuition, use of Berry Bros. & Rudd equipment and tasting samples. Course materials are sent to you in advance after registration and we recommend that you read them thoroughly before starting the course.

Session 4: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc
Session 5: Syrah, Grenache and Riesling
Session 6: Other white grape varieties and sparkling wines
 
Friday 26th July 2019
Session 7: Other black grape varieties and sweet wines
Session 8: Fortified wines and spirits
Session 9: Revision 
 
Monday 29th July 2019
Examination: 50-question multiple-choice paper, followed by a glass of Champagne
