Description

With over 100 different appellations, approaching the mammoth that is Burgundy can be a daunting task for newcomers. This introduction has been created to give you a better understanding of the region and how appellations differ across Burgundy. After a glass of a beautiful Crémant de Bourgogne, you’ll begin with a trio from Chablis with different quality levels – village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru. From here, you’ll move on to a quartet of whites from Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Pouilly-Fuissé. Rounding up the evening, you’ll explore the famous Burgundian reds with examples from Nuits-St Georges, Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin. Hosted by Isabella Cameron, Fine Wine Specialist
