Description

As Christmas draws nearer, this evening is a chance to enjoy the delights of the season. We’ll welcome you with a festive glass of Krug Champagne to refresh the palate, before an evening filled with Burgundy and Port. Over the evening you will taste classic styles of both white and red Burgundy: Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet, Grand Cru Chablis, and Grand Cru Gevrey-Chambertin and Premier Cru Amoureuses from Chambolle-Musigny. Our Head Chef will prepare a menu designed to match the wines, before finishing with a spot of vintage Port and then braving the journey home. Unfortunately, we have postponed all events at our St James’s premises until the start of July. We are constantly reassessing the situation and considering the feasibility of events after this date. In the meantime, we are offering virtual tastings online. We’ll arrange delivery of wines, glasses and a corkscrew to your guests ahead of a guided tasting with one of our expert hosts. For more information, please contact us.

Whether a lavish six-course banquet in our Sussex Cellar or a more intimate affair in the Long Room, we host a range of dinners focusing on wine regions, styles or producers. After a drinks reception and introduction from your host, you will sit down to enjoy a selection of remarkable wines matched with equally impressive food.

Our Head Chef Stewart Turner will design a menu to complement the wines you taste, while between each delicious course your expert host will guide you through the wines in front of you, giving you the opportunity to discuss their styles and ask questions.
