Description

We are fortunate enough to have renowned whisky collector Magnus Fagerström in attendance with six of his most cherished bottles, matched with six drams sourced from our own archives.

Alongside Magnus the expert panel will comprise Stephen Rankin, 4th generation of the Urquhart family (Gordon & Macphail), whisky journalist and writer Dave Broom and our very own reserve spirits manager, Jonny McMillan.

Throughout the evening the following will be poured:

1930s Berry Bros. & Rudd St James’ Blend
1940s Berry Bros. & Rudd Blended Scotch
1966 Macallan, 50-year-old (btd 2016), Private Bottling, 46.2%
1972 Berry Bros. & Rudd Glenlivet
1974 Berry Bros. & Rudd Bunnahabhain
1975 Glenrothes, 31-year-old, (btd 2006), OB, 43%
1976 BenRiach, 33-year-old, Cask 3551, OB for LMdW, 51,6%
1978 Ardbeg, 10-year-old (btd 1988), Private Bottling, 57.8%
1979 Lagavulin, 40-year-old (btd 2019), Private Bottling, 49.1%
Glen Grant 38-year-old, late 70s-early 80s bottling, Gordon & MacPhail, 40%
1981 Lochside, 30-year-old, (btd 2011), Private Bottling, 57.8%
1982 Brora, 23-year-old, Old Malt Cask, 50%

This is an intimate event of informal enthusiasm limited to just 40 places. Truly an unrivalled opportunity to taste whiskies from a former age of distilling.
