Description

And… they’re off! This lunch, which takes place a week before Cheltenham, is an opportunity to enjoy some delicious Claret with fellow followers of the turf. We will be joined by the charismatic Rolf Johnson, our gust speaker, the former racing correspondent for the Daily Express and an advisor to Harry Herbert and Al Shaqab, the Qatar Foundation’s equestrian centre. Far from serious, this will be a light-hearted chance to discuss Cheltenham, sharing tips and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts in the comfortable surroundings of our Sussex Cellar. Hosted by Mark Scholfield, Head of Events and Education, with guest speaker Rolf Johnson

Wines to be tasted:
Berry Bros. & Rudd English Sparkling Wine by Hambledon, Brut, Hampshire
2013 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc, Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux
2008 Château Clerc-Milon, Pauillac, Bordeaux
2008 Château Lasségue, St Emilion, Bordeaux
1996 Château Giscours, Margaux, Bordeaux
2015 Berry Bros. & Rudd Sauternes by Château Climens, Bordeaux

Dress code: smart casual

NB Wines for this event have been chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s historic stocks and may not be available to order following the event.
