Description

Join us for an evening celebrating Bordeaux’s famous 1855 classification of the wines of the Médoc. Over the evening you’ll learn more about the region as you enjoy a meal designed by our Head Chef to complement each of the bottles. The evening will start with Champagne, before moving onto a dry white Bordeaux – a wine style that was not included in the original classification. Following this, you’ll explore the reds of the region, the final flight of which will include an exceptional and mature First Growth – a 1995 Château Haut-Brion. All five Left Bank communes will be represented at this evening: St Estèphe, Pauillac, St Julien, Margaux and Pessac-Léognan. The grand finale will be a taste of the world’s most famous sweet wine, Château d’Yquem. Hosted by Rebecca Lamont, Head of Wine school.
