Description

This three-day course is a fun and informative way in which to complete the WSET Level 2 wine qualification. Starting at 9am with tea and coffee, each session will include a delicious picnic lunch before resuming teaching for the afternoon. The course will finish each day at 5pm. Please note there will be additional revision exercises that you will be required to complete at home after each course day.

The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is devised by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and is the internationally recognised course that is followed by those entering the wine and hospitality trades. It can be comfortably achieved by those with little or no previous wine knowledge. A selection of wines will be tasted at each session, offering a broad introduction. The course also teaches tasting techniques from which to build tasting experience.

We cover the syllabus over three days and the examination is sat on the following Monday by way of a 50-question multiple choice paper to be completed within one hour. We are also offering an additional exam sitting, with those with travel commitments in mind, which will take place on the final day of the course (Friday 21st August) at the end of the teaching day.

The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, WSET-accredited tuition, use of Berry Bros. & Rudd equipment and tasting samples. Course materials are sent to you in advance after registration and we recommend that you read them thoroughly before starting the course. Safety information

We will be spacing out guests to adhere with government guidelines, providing hand sanitising stations and implementing a one-way system throughout the day. Please note you may be required to queue outside on arrival so we can stagger entry into the cellar.

We will be putting together a delicious gourmet picnic lunch for you each day in your own reusable Berry Bros. & Rudd tote bag, giving you a chance to stretch your legs and eat in the fresh air in one of the Royal Parks nearby (St James’s and Green Park are both a short walk). Should you prefer to eat inside, we will have a table set up in our spacious Napoleon Cellar to enable you to socially distance accordingly.

We will be minimising contact with waiting staff by pre-pouring wines, allocating seating and preparing your hot drink order in advance.

Dress code: smart casual

NB Wines for this event have been chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s historic stock and may not be available to order following the event.
