Join Jane Anson and Kees van Leeuwen for a virtual Q&A focused on the terroir of Bordeaux and the – literally – ground-breaking approach behind the 61 original maps in Inside Bordeaux.
Author Jane Anson is described by Decanter as “the world’s most informed and accomplished expert on the wines of Bordeaux.” Inside Bordeaux is her most comprehensive work to date, with over 700 pages of original research and in-depth writing on the region’s châteaux, wines and terroir.
Kees van Leeuwen is Professor of Viticulture at Bordeaux Sciences Agro and the Institute of Vine and Wine Science at Bordeaux University; he has also consulted at Ch. Cheval Blanc for over 25 years. The brand-new soil maps created by BB&R Press under his supervision are published for the first time in Inside Bordeaux, covering the region in a way that has never been done before.
Join us for the Q&A and you will receive a copy of the book, along with four wines that will be discussed during the session. We will also send you a selection of detailed maps by email. The session will begin at 6.30pm and last for one hour; tickets are limited to 30 places. We will be taking questions prior to the event as well as further questions at the end of the tasting.
