Description

Join Andy Watts, international whisky icon and master distiller of Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky and Three Ships Whisky, for an evening discussing the past, present and future of South African whisky. Interviewed by our Spirits Buyer, Rob Whitehead, you will be guided through two contrasting styles from the James Sedgwick distillery, the only commercial whisky distillery in Africa.

This innovative distillery lies at the foot of the spectacular Bainskloof Pass in Wellington and it is here that the first ever South African grain whisky (Bains) and the first single malt (Three Ships) are produced.

Whiskies to be tasted on the evening:

Bains Cape Mountain Whisky, Single Grain, South Africa (40%)
Three Ships Single Malt, 12-year-old, South Africa (46.3%)

We will arrange the delivery of the whiskies directly to your home. On the evening of the event, you’ll log in via Zoom where our expert hosts will guide you through the tasting. The ticket price includes full-sized bottles (70cl) of all the whiskies.

The virtual event will start at 6.30pm and last for one hour. Once a ticket has been booked, we’ll email you to confirm the details of your delivery.

NB If you would like to enquire about non-UK mainland deliveries, then please contact ticketedevents@bbr.com.
