Description
Join us for a delicious four-course Rhône-inspired menu created by our Head Chef Stewart Turner. We’ll taste a selection of wines from the two ends of the Rhône Valley, comparing the similarities and differences between these dissimilar siblings. One end produces lyrical wines from a single grape varietal, with a stylistic nod to neighbouring Burgundy; the other produces wines that are broad, expansive and generous, glorying in a range of grape varieties and expressing a Mediterranean warmth.
Wines to be tasted:
Champagne Gosset, Grande Réserve, Brut
2018 Ermitage Blanc, Le Méal, M. Chapoutier, Rhône
2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Clos des Papes, Paul Avril & Fils, Rhône
2014 Cornas, Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Alain Voge, Rhône
2012 Ermitage Rouge, Ex Voto, E. Guigal, Rhône
