Tomatin Decades II Deconstructed Tasting, Thursday 17th November 2022

Join Scott Adamson, Tomatin’s Global Brands Ambassador, and Rob Whitehead, our Spirits Buyer, for an exploration of Tomatin’s Decades II bottling. Tomatin Distillery, based in the Monadhliath Mountains, stylistically sits mid-way between light, Highland single malts and richer Speyside malts. It once boasted the status of being the largest Scottish distillery.

Decades II is truly a unique and exquisite expression: a marriage of 21 casks, selected from key years throughout the last five decades. Tonight, we’ll be showing each individual component that went into the making of the Decades II, such as the 1977 refill Bourbon Hogshead, which provides tropical fruit notes; the 2009 re-charred Verdejo cask, which gives flavours of spicy apple pie; the 2013 second-fill French Oak, which offers an abundance of citrus and spice. This tasting offers the chance to learn more about Tomatin distillery and unpack the superb Decades II.

Our Head Chef will also be preparing two delicious accompaniments to pair with the whiskies.
