Description

Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin both compete for the title of most sought-after village in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Both have an enviable number of Grands Crus, capable of producing mythic wines with an astonishing ability to age. Yet their styles are quite distinct: Gevrey tends to produce more muscular, savoury wines; while Vosne hides its power under layers of silkiness and finesse.

This evening’s dinner will showcase the best of these two iconic regions. Across four delicious courses, expertly prepared by our Head Chef Stewart Turner, we will compare the villages, exploring different vineyards, vintages and producer styles along the way, before ending with two Grand Cru wines. It’s a must for Burgundy-lovers.

Wines to be tasted:
2009 Champagne Fleury, Boléro, Blanc de Noirs, Extra Brut
2017 Vosne-Romanée, Benjamin Leroux, Burgundy
