Introduction to Wine Tasting, Monday 19th June 2023

Join us for a Champagne reception in the Pickering Cellar ahead of a two-hour tutored tasting to enhance your wine tasting skills. No matter your level of expertise, numerous thoughts and impressions will come to you when the wine hits your palate. During the evening, your host will encourage you to trust these initial instincts and grow your confidence. Tasting through 10 wines from around the world, including wonderful examples from Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Barolo, you will learn to identify acidity, tannin, alcohol and a wine’s maturity. By the end of the evening, you will be a confident taster, equipped to discover the wines you do and do not like, and – even more importantly – why.
