Description

Join us for our One-Day Wine School formula of a two-hour masterclass followed by a four-course luncheon with paired wines. Our New World wine school explores the fabulous wines of three of the New World’s greatest wine-producing nations – South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

In the morning masterclass, Wine Educator Michael Dabbs, will guide you through some of the major regions, grape varieties and styles of wines found in these countries. He will explain specific characteristics and why these wines are worthy of sitting alongside their Old World counterparts.

We will then invite guests to our Sussex Cellar for an apéritif before sitting down for a delicious four-course meal created by our Head Chef, Stewart Turner. Here you will explore and discuss how versatile and food-friendly these wines are.

Dress code: smart casual

NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stock at the time of the event. Most of the wines will be available to order afterwards.

Our one-day wine schools are a great way to get a thorough overview of a region in a day.

Starting in the morning with tea and coffee on arrival, we spend around 2 hours exploring the region, with 8-12 wines showcasing all different styles. With the basics covered, we head to our vaulted Napoleon cellar for an aperitif and to put the morning’s education to the test with 5 more wines paired over a delicious lunch, crafted by Head Chef Stewart Turner.

The day finishes around 3.30pm.
