Description

We invite you to join us for a new series of varietal-themed dinners, this time celebrating the world’s most adored grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon.  

With its sturdy tannins, deep core of black fruits and distinctive herbal perfume, Cabernet has the potential to produce some of the most alluring aromas in wine. Among the greatest Cabernet blends in the world are those of the Médoc, leading to Napoleon III ranking its estates in the famous 1855 classification. Nearly two centuries on, these “cru classés” remain some of the most collectible wines among Bordeaux enthusiasts. 

Throughout the evening, we will broaden this concept out by introducing you to wines outside of Bordeaux, including regions beyond France that we believe could be considered at an equivalent “cru classé” level. Your host will explain the features of these special sites and why they produce such exquisite wines, whilst you will be encouraged to offer your own insights too. 

For the occasion our Executive Chef, Stewart Turner will create an indulgent four-course tasting menu.
