The Béarn-Bellocq appellation is located in the Pyrenees mountains and in the plain at their feet, in south west France. It produces powerful, full-bodied, fleshy red wines from the Tannat grape as well as Manseng Noir and Cabernet Franc.
The white wines are tangy, refreshing and light and are made from a blend of indigenous grapes, including Gros Manseng, Courbu, Petit Manseng Lauzet, Camaralet.
The wines of the region are rarely exported.
