A year that was badly affected by severe frosts and snow during the weekend of 14/15 April. Flowering occurred during mid-June and the weather was sunny and dry throughout most of July and August. It rained at the outset of September and the harvest began on 24th September and took place in predominantly dry conditions.
A small crop of noteworthy wines was produced with the best being rich and well balanced. Most of the village wines should have been consumed by now but the top Premiers and Grands Crus still have plenty of life in them.
