The prize
This is a unique opportunity for the winner to follow in the footsteps of some of our most famous customers. The winner will be invited to come to our shop at No.3 St James’s (travel expenses to London will be covered up to £100) in the week commencing 23rd May, where they will be greeted with a Champagne reception and a tour of the cellars. The winner will then have the chance to step onto our giant weighing scales; the scales will be balanced with cases and bottles of either Good Ordinary Claret or Good Ordinary White (or a combination of the two); the total number of bottles will be sent to a UK address of the winner’s choice, free of charge. The winner’s name and weight will also, if desired, be entered into our historic leather-bound ledgers, to sit alongside the likes of Lord Bryon, Beau Brummell and the Aga Kahn. The winner will be asked to take part in publicity photographs. Terms and conditions apply.
