Rosebank Distillery, Lowlands

Rosebank Single Malt Whisky distillery is situated at Camelon in Lowlands, built by James Rankine in 1840. It was acquired by United Distillers that later became part of Diageo which decided to cease production in the distillery in 1993.

Until recently, the last official Rosebank whiskies were a handful of aged Rare Malts bottlings (such as the 1981 and the 25 year-old edition) and a few more bottlings under Diageo’s Flora and Fauna label.

Young Rosebank is typically intensively flowery, and it is one of the finest exponents of the Lowlands floral and aromatic style. Older expressions can be richer, more structured, and spicy, with superb depth
