Description

Hosted by Barbara Drew, Wine School

Burgundy is an endlessly fascinating region, and its wines are often the go-to favourite for matching with tricky foods; delicate and fresh when young, savoury and beguiling when old, they find their perfect match with lighter red meats, cheeses and seafood. In this lunchtime session you will have the opportunity to taste six very different styles of Burgundy, and match them with a delicious selection of seasonal dishes, all while learning about the intricacies of this famous region.

Wines to be tasted include:

2012 Chablis, Vieilles Vignes, Jean-Claude Bessin
2010 Pouilly-Fuissé, Vergisson, Olivier Merlin
2011 Marsannay Rosé, Domaine Jean Fournier
2010 Bourgogne Rouge, Les Bons Bâtons, Patrice et Michèle Rion
2008 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Corbeaux, 1er Cru, Domaine Christian Sérafin
1997 Volnay, Clos des Chenes, 1er Cru, Collection Bellenum
