Vérité Winery
Vérité, French for “truth,” is a Sonoma County winery whose wines result from a confluence of old world experience and new world fruit. Each is an amalgam of distinct components harvested from small vineyard blocks (micro-crus), resulting in a carefully considered convergence of grape varieties, climate, soil exposition and winemaking technique. Vigneron Pierre Seillan refers to this conjunction as droit du sol, “right of the soil.”
Vérité describe their wines as 'Bordeaux-inspired blends,' seeking to pay homage to, rather than simply replicate, the finest examples from Pauillac, St Emilion and Pomerol. Like most Bordeaux, these wines will usually benefit from quite substantial aging in the cellar, but equally they are not too young to be enjoyed in the next few years, or even now.
The winery boasts an astounding 7 perfect scores from renowned wine critic Robert Parker, and while our opinions do not always form a concensus with Parker's, regarding the quality of these wines, we are certainly of one mind.
