Description

This One Day Burgundy Wine School is a fantastic opportunity if you don’t know a great deal about Burgundy, but would like to. If you’ve always been entranced by the region’s sublime wines, but also slightly bewildered by the complexity of it all, then this is the day for you. Anne will take you on a vinous tour from Chablis in the north right down to Pouilly-Fuissé in the south, via some of Burgundy’s top red and white wines in the Côte d’Or. You will explore hierarchical differences between village, Premier and Grand Cru wines, learn about some of the region’s most famous growers and engage more closely with the intriguing concept of terroir. The morning session will be followed by a wonderful luncheon in our Napoleon Cellar, where you will see how expressive these wines are when matched with the superb Burgundian-inspired cuisine of our Head Chef Stewart Turner.

One Day Wine School

Our one-day wine schools are a great way to get a thorough overview of a region in a day.

Starting in the morning with tea and coffee on arrival, we spend around 2 hours exploring the region, with 8-12 wines showcasing all different styles. With the basics covered, we head to our vaulted Napoleon cellar for an aperitif and to put the morning’s education to the test with 5 more wines paired over a delicious lunch, crafted by Head Chef Stewart Turner.

The day finishes around 3.30pm.
