Description

Along with picture-postcard scenery and excellent hiking trails, Alsace is the source of some of the most varied and food-friendly wines of France. This evening we will discuss and taste a range of wines from some top producers, allowing us to compare and contrast the grape varieties and styles of the region. The line-up will include at least six different grape varieties, both red and white, produced in styles ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet.

Wines to be tasted:

2009 Crémant d'Alsace, Brut, Domaine Lucas & André Rieffel
2013 Sylvaner de Mittelbergheim, Domaine Lucas & André Rieffel
2013 Gewürztraminer d'Epfig, Domaine André Ostertag
2012 Pinot Noir, Fronholz, Domaine André Ostertag
2012 Pinot Gris, Zellberg, Domaine André Ostertag
2012 Pinot Blanc, Gebreit, Domaine Lucas & André Rieffel
2010 Gewürztraminer Furstentum, Domaine Weinbach
2009 Riesling, Cuvée Frédéric Emile, Trimbach
2008 Muscat, Domaine Rolly-Gassmann
2005 Pinot Gris, Clos Windsbuhl Vendange Tardive, Domaine Zind Humbrecht
2000 Riesling Pflaenzerreben de Rorschwihr, Domaine Rolly-Gassmann
