Description
Join your host, George Lacey, as he takes you on a tour of the Rhône Valley; a region to which many of his most exciting wine memories are tied and, in his opinion, one of France's most interesting and diverse winemaking areas. From the steep hills of Hermitage in the north to the rolling vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the south, you will learn about the grapes and terroirs that make up this fascinating region. The idea of this event is to come away with an understanding of the key wine-producing villages in the north and the south, as well as how and why the styles of wines produced throughout the valley vary and taste the way they do. Working our way through 11 wines, we will begin with the whites of the north and south, pausing for a rosé before working our way down geographically through some of the region's most iconic and showstopping reds. Hosted by George Lacey, Fine Wine Specialist
