Palo Cortado is a rare style of sherry that is initially aged under flor to become a fino or amontillado, but it loses its veil of flor and begins ageing oxidatively as an Oloroso. The result is a wine that offers the concentration of Oloroso and the crispness of Amontillado.

The Apostoles Solera was created in 1862 to commemorate the visit of Queen Isabel II of Spain to the vineyard. This rare sherry offers a sublime combination of the dried fruits present in the Palomino grapes, blended with lush sweetness of Pedro Ximenez grapes. More than 30 years ageing lend an impressive concentration to this Muy Viejo (very old) Palo Cortado.González Byass S.A.
